Protect direct link from client area ?

  • Post count: 5

Hi , I got some clients area protected by password. Problem is that it seems that anyone is able to access to the images with a direct link (e.g: http://www.mysite.com/../clientpicture.jpg).
Is there would be a way to ask for the password even when pointing to direct link of a picture which is displayed in the client area?

    Thx

    Hi,

Unfortunately that is not possible. When you go to a direct image, like http://talent.bycolormelon.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/19.jpg , the browser loads just that image, nothing else. So no extra code can be added to restrict access to it based on a certain condition. You could try using a random filename for the client area images (ex. 3536436413623.jpg) which will make it almost impossible for visitors to find.
